About & Ticket Info

Ralph and Kathy Kelly's work to protect young people from violence, bullying and alcohol harm led to staggering changes in Australian laws and culture - lock-out laws, tougher sentencing for one-punch assaults, and changes in how we talk about alcohol-fuelled violence.

They played an instrumental role in the movement to lessen violence, create safe spaces in cities, and divert young people from harm.

The Kellys' campaign follows the death of their son, Thomas, from a coward-punch, and the bullying and suicide of their second son, Stuart. Their book Too Soon, Too Late is about their fight for change in the face of tragedy.

Ralph and Kathy will be in conversation with writer and director Ailsa Piper, author of Sinning Across Spain: Walking the Camino and, with Tony Doherty, The Attachment: Letters from a Most Unlikely Friendship.

Tickets: $50 per person and includes one course and a glass of wine. Tickets available from The Bookshop Bowral. Ph (02) 4862 1634
