Join R.A. Spratt and Jacqueline Harvey for a wild book party for kids!

The party will feature talks by the authors, audience Q&A, book-signing, special treat from our friends at Bowral Sweets and Treats, fun and games - and probably mayhem.

Everyone is invited to dress up. However, only R.A. Spratt may bring a trumpet and/or rocket launcher.

About the authors

Based in Bowral NSW, R.A. Spratt is the bestselling writer of dozens of absurd and witty books, including the Friday Barnes, The Adventures of Nanny Piggins, The Peski Kids and the Shockingly and Astonishingly Good Stories collections. Her podcast, Bedtime Stories with RA Spratt, has had over 5 million downloads and connects her with story-lovers across the globe.

Jacqueline Harvey is the award-winning and bestselling author of the popular Alice-Miranda, Clementine Rose, Kensy and Max and Willa and Woof series and several picture books. She speaks to thousands of young people at schools and festivals around the world and says her characters are often made up of the best bits of children she’s met.

About the books

Romeo v Juliet by R.A. Spratt

The OG enemies-to-lovers story gets the R.A. Spratt treatment!

Selby does not want to be in the school play. She is much happier behind the scenes painting sets – anything to avoid standing on stage in front of an audience, performing for disinterested classmates and overenthusiastic parents.

So Selby did not plan on landing the lead role of Juliet . . . and she certainly never planned to land in Verona and meet Juliet in person.

With chaos, wit and R.A. Spratt wisdom, if those who rush stumble and fall, Romeo and Juliet are about to crash-land into a modern-day town!

The Girl and the Ghost: Grand Opening (Book 3) by Jacqueline Harvey

A hotel opening, a budding romance, a missing locket and... a ghost.

Josephine Eloise Thomas and her family are getting ready for the grand opening of their hotel. And with the surprise gifting of a beautiful tabby kitten from Josephine’s next-door neighbours, the Martins, things are looking up. Until chaos strikes.

Are the antics at the chateau just accidents or sabotage? How long can Josephine keep a secret from her family? Will Maude get in the way of a budding romance for Josephine and Gabriel? And can the family’s hotel open successfully?
