General Sir Peter Cosgrove was much respected as Governor-General of Australia.
In his brilliant career, he served in Vietnam, rose to become Chief of the Defence Force, oversaw the recovery effort after Cyclone Larry, and travelled far and wide to support Australians in his role as Governor-General. Always, his humour and empathy shone through the pomp and ceremony.
You Shouldn’t Have Joined reflects on the extraordinary events the author has witnessed.
Sir Peter will be joined at this special event by his wife, Lady Lynne Cosgrove.
